A larger cutout in the handle allows the T-shaped release lever to be pressed easier

The new lever was given larger diameter pins to pivot on

At some point, a small ledge was added for the saw and file to stop against.

The ledge was molded in as part of the plastic Zytel handle liners

The file was also changed, from the early one with razor sharp cut teeth, to a later one with shallower less aggressive teeth

The nail nick on early Blasts was on the outboard side of the knife blade...

...it was sometimes difficult to reach the nail nick with your fingernail

Later, the nail nick was moved to the inboard side of the blade, which made for improved access
