Background

Remington Arms Company, world famous for its firearms and ammunition, never produced a multitool of their own. Instead, they contracted with other manufacturers to produce the tools, which were then branded and packaged with the Remington name. The quality of these rebranded tools varies from extremely good (Bird Hunter's Tool) to extremely poor (everything else). It is puzzling why a company with a name so strongly associated with quality would allow that good name to be besmirched by such inferior products.
