Background
Irwin Vise-Grip is an Amercican company whose very name has become synonymous with locking pliers. They produce a surprising number of different pliers based on the same locking principle. In the early 2000's Vise-Grip joined forces with the
Schrade Cutlery Company to create a series of three different locking plier multitools. The 5WR and 6LC models were marketed under the Vise-Grip name, while the ST6 model was branded and sold by Schrade. Production ceased in 2004 when Schrade closed it doors.
