Multi Function Utility Lighter The pliers function of this tool is rather unremarkable. The pliers are made out of aluminum, and the fact that it has a "wire cutter" section is almost laughable, Despite the useless wire cutters, the scissors, file, and knife blade seem to be straightforward enough. But what really sets the MFUL apart is the fact that its handle houses a fully functional butane lighter! How many pliers based tools have you seen that can do that? (-:




Jaws

The jaws and handle are made from cast aluminum. This material is too soft for any but the lightest tasks. Soft and hard wire cutter areas are for appearance only.

Handles/Frame

One handle is cast aluminum, integral with the plier jaw. The other contains the blades, along with the lighter described above.

Finish is chrome, highly polished to a mirror finish. An inch and metric scale are cast into one side.

There are no markings or logo whatsoever, just a safety warning decal in regards to the lighter.

Blades and Tools

  • Plain edge pen knife blade. Measures 1-1/2" long (38mm)
  • Combination fingernail file/small flathead screwdriver
  • Small scissors, backspring loaded

Other Features

Contained within the handle/frame is a butane lighter, complete with flame height adjustment knob and refill nozzle. Flame is actuated by rotating the lanyard attachment loop fully clockwise. (see pictures below)
